Works great with RO water

Works great (using RO water so no residue). Quiet. Light is nice and not too bright (holding the button in will shut it off rather than cycling through all the colors). Control for amount of humidity works well. Overall happy with the purchase

A: Yes. Mist condensation. Not a big issue. Handle the unit accordingly when refilling the tank. Towel is always handy.

Q: Hi there, I was thinking of getting this but saw some varying responses so I wanted to ask again. How regularly should I replace the demineralization cartridge if I plan to use it overnight around 5 times a week?

A: Hello. Our air looked cloudy & we got a deposit on windows & furniture. It sure looked awful. It was hard to clean. Settled on glass & left a deposit. It quit working after about a month. As it just stopped, no reset button. So we took it back to CT all they would do was give us another, and we a got a follow up guarantee. It was very unsatisfactory to say the least. I would like a return with money we paid for same. USED tap water that was not softened.

Q: Out Dorian cool mist humidifier quit after 5 months of use. We haven’t changed demineralization yet. Would that cause it to quit running? The red light comes on after cleaning when empty then goes off shortly

A: Hi, thank you for your question. The Dorin's demineralization cartridge should be replaced every 60-90 days, depending on your water quality. The red fill light could indicate the water tank is not seated on the base completely or that the water level is low. If the issue still exists. A: This unit does not use a filter as it is an Ultrasonic unit. They should change the demineralization cartridge at least once per season.
