Reese Instructions - Chev Equinox

The hitch was an exact fit for the Chev Equinox and in the end, was a very easy install. However, the instructions are written by someone who has installed several hitches and used coded wording like “return bumper to customer”, when what they mean is “after you remove the rear facia and trim, remove the aluminum bumper, the hitch will replace the bumper, and your won’t need the bumper anymore . Then slide the hitch right into the frame, where there is easy access to the nuts and bolts, and you don’t need the fish wire that we included”. The instructions and You Tube video show how to mount a different design that mounts under the frame, leaves the bumper in place and requires fish wires to pull the bolts through.
