Q: The Leviton cable connectors come in a package labeled ' 3/8 " (1/2 " KO) but they are 3/4" in diameter and require a 7/8" Knock Out hole to mount on an electrical box. Please explain.

A: These are industry standard 3/8” (1/2” KO ). There is no such thing as 7/8” knock out. The industry standards are ½” , ¾” , 1”, etc…if you measure these knockout they will be roughly 1/8” bigger ( these are not only Hubbell standard but an industry standard) they are still called ½” , ¾” , 1”. This product 052-1237 is a 2 screw connector for loomex cable for a ½” standard knockout .
