J'ai acheté cette plinthe électrique il y a 10 ans et elle a continuellement fait un bruit intolérable. Cependant, l'illustration de la plinthe a changé même si le numéro de modèle est identique. Cela signifie peut-être que la conception a été améliorée

Works Great, a Little Noisy

I have had 2 of these units for 2 winters now at my cottage, this will be the 3rd coming up.
They work great but the more you use them the louder they get. At first it was just normal crepitation when heating and cooling, then louder ticking, and now a hum is present as well.
These are very inexpensive, work great and are quieter than any forced air system so the noise doesn't bother me.
If you can live with a bit of noise that is still way quieter than a forced air system then I recommend for the price.

I had to replace all my baseboard heaters in my home (3 large / 4 medium / 1 small). These garrison heaters were the best bang for the buck.
Yes, I agree that they may be a little more noisy, bulky, less visually appealing than any other contender. But at half the price than any other baseboard heaters on the market... I can deal with those minor flaws.
(Interestingly... you can still hook them up on either side of the heaters... some baseboard heaters from other vendors do not do that anymore)
It does the intended work.

not suitable as a replacement unit

The access panel for wiring is on the rear and has to be replaced before you attach it to the wall. If you're working with cable that doesn't have at least a foot of play (which is rare) it's impossible to do this.
The dimensions stated in the other Q&A's are incorrect, these units are much smaller.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: It will work with both voltages, at 240 volts it will have be rated at 1500 watts, at 208 volts it will only be rated at 1128 watts.

A: Possiblement parce qu'il est trop vissé serré au mur. Donc quand il chauffe, le métal veut prendre de l'expansion et il ne peut pas facilement. Donc il "kink kink kink"...

Q: Rattling noise? I installed one of these in my living room, and when it is on it has a constant rattling noise, it is quite annoying, wondering if there is a reason for this? solution? common problem?

A: I totally agree with these heaters being very noisy.There's no trouble hearing the buzzing noise when it is cut in.I bought three of those and it was a mistake :-(

Q: What is the screw size on the front panel? We have tried multiple screwdrivers non of which work. Our local hardware store can't help either. We have tried Phillips, Robertson and Torkx. Nothing works. Please advise asap as we are waiting to install.
