Can I use my drill for sanding?

Yes, your power drill can be used for sanding work. You can use sanding pads for drill, sanding discs for drill, and other drill sanding attachments for a smooth finish for your wood and metal workpieces.

How do I use my drill as a sander?

To use your drill as a sander:

1) Fasten your selected drill sanding attachments to a shank adapter if needed. Skip this step if your attachment is built with a shank.

2) Insert the end of the shank adapter with your attachment in the chuck of the drill

3) Tighten the chuck’s jaws to secure your attachment in place

4) Insert sanding pads or any other accessories in the attachment if required.

5) Use the drill trigger to use your device as a sander

What attachment is used for sanding on a drill press?

Attachments used for drill press sanding include wire brush wheels, sanding discs, polishing pads, and more. Make sure that the shank diameter size of your attachment is compatible with your drill press for best results.
