Another effective odour removal method can be found with natural household products, like vinegar and baking soda. Baking soda sprinkled onto carpets and upholstery will absorb odours and can be easily vacuumed up, while vinegar can be mixed with equal parts water in a spray bottle and spritzed onto most materials that require deodorizing.

How do I wash hockey equipment?

Most of your hockey equipment can be washed with a warm-water load in a standard washing machine. Aside from your skates and helmet, all your pads and guards can be machine washed at home, although you may need to divide them into multiple loads. Be sure to allow your equipment to soak for at least 15 minutes before starting a wash cycle for more effective laundering.
