I purchased this hose last year and it was fine for 1 summer. (My garden is the size of a postage stamp !). Yesterday I tried to use the valve to temporarily shut the water off so I could move the hose and the hose exploded. The brass fitting blew off and the hose is now almost useless since I can't attach a sprinkler or sprayer etc. Very disappointed in the quality of the product.

** save your money **. Poor quality product. I bought one and the second time I turned the water on the hose leaked massively. So I returned it it my local CT. While I was in line at customer service, I noted the gentleman in front of me was returning his as well. So since I didn't have my receipt, I was given a replacement. So I went home and set up my sprinkler using the hose immediately. To my surprise, the final 12" of hose leading up to the sprinkler was permanently collapsed. I fiddled around, however appears to be another defective or poorly built product. 2 for 2 x hose pro !! CT will be returning $ this time. Brutal. Concept is good, but technology/materials very poor. The minimum 1 STAR was generous and I only did so because 1) the box didn't fall apart On the way home and 2) there wasn't a zero STAR !

Tried Twice, But Both Hoses Failed

Love the concept - light flexible hose. In the last 5 weeks, have gone through two of them. The first one kept getting a number of kinks or blockages which prevented water flowing to hand sprayer. The second one burst after about two weeks of using it to water my pots. So disappointing!

I read and followed the specific instructions of operation. My neighbour saw my X Hose,....tried it and bought one yesterday. No dragging a relatively heavy conventional hose around the yard. No tripping over this hose either. The nozzle end has a lever which can manually adjust the water flow. A nozzle is nice, but can be used without it and no need to return to the faucet to adjust the water flow. Can be attached to a conventional hose. I bought the Gardena quick connect set to facilitate connection ease. When finished, I disconnect and store my dried X Hose in my deck box..

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Besides brass vs. plastic fittings are there any other technical differences between the X and X Pro?. Like the outer material or the rubber?
