Fermoir

Très satisfaite de cette tente sauf un fermoir qui passe tout droit, pas d'arrêt, donc sort complètement et excessivement difficile à remettre ! Sur porte principale de la tente intérieure !

Best tent ever!

I bought this tent on massive sale still pricey but cheap for a 6 person tent because my little one broke and i am so happy it did. This new tent is huge. I have a full queen sized air mattress a side table and two camping chairs in it and there's still room. The air ventilation is amazing it doesn't get hot and stuffy in the sun and doesn't get damp and humid inside. And it is definitely water resistant. It has rained almost every day since I've had it and it has held up just fine without a tarp on top. The only thing i do not like about the tent is that there are no straps to hold the door up and out of the way if you want it all the way open. That makes no sense to me since the door is massive. But other than that i am am extremely happy with this product. I look forward to trying some the other camping gear.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Older model, same style.

I've had an older model of this tent for 10+ years. I've never had any of the issues the other reviewers are talking about. This is the best tent I've ever owned and everyone I camp with is always envious of my setup. Setup is easy. I can do it by myself very simply but with two people it's a breeze. The dome has easy clips so there is no fussing with annoying pole sleeves. The fly is the most challenging part because it MUST be pegged down to work. (I've owned tents that didn't require pegging) I could easily set up this tent in 5-10 minutes. Taking it down is manageable to. It does fit back in the bag fairly easily if you roll the tent rather than folding it. Cons: No floor in the vestibule as some mentioned but I just put a small tarp down. The opposite side of the dome has a zipper for ventilation but it was kinda useless because I had to peg both sides of the zipper for the fly to stay. The fly didn't cover the edges of the tent unless you were very precise when setting it up. If it rained this could potentially cause a small amount of condensation on the area not covered. Pros: SPACE! This tent was tall enough to stand in and provided plenty of space! The vestibule kept most of my stuff dry and safe from the elements. The vestibule allowed me to take my shoes off before entering the tent even in rain. No tarp setup needed! This kept my tent clean. Even though the back window was rendered useless by the fly pegging mentioned earlier, you could leave the tent door open will venting all of the areas on the vestibule to air out your tent. I can't express enough how valuable the vestibule is for this tent. Without it, it's just another dome tent. But with easy clips poles which are amazing. My tent lasted me 10+ years and I camped probably 3-4 times per year. It would have lasted longer but it was stolen, not broken.

Yes, I recommend this product.

The definition of overpriced garbage.

You know, for 400 dollars you'd expect a decent tent. I had this set up in my back yard on a mildly windy day and the seam by the door tore the whole length of the tent. And because I lost my reciept I can't even return the piece of junk

Q: what are the dimensions of the tent without the vestibule?

3 Answers
  • A: The dimensions of the tent WITH the vestibule is 17' x 12'5" So the vestibule is about 8' x 12'5" and the tent 9' x 12'5"

Q: Does it have only one entrance? Does it have another entrance from the opposite side? Or is there only one entrance?

2 Answers
  • A: This was a question I had before buying it - and I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone... There is only one, very large front door on the tent itself - no windows and a very small ventilation panel at the top. If it's cool out, not to worry, but it got really hot during the days and the heat hung all night in the tent. The fly has 2 doors, a big one on the very end and 1 side door for quick access, limiting the direction the tent itself can face.

Q: Does the inner portion of the tent have a fabric zip closure or only the mesh? It is difficult to see in the picture, looks like there is only a mesh door and no secondary fabric door.

2 Answers
  • A: The door is the only mesh portion on the tent but is a full “O” door. For added ventilation the vestibule area has 2 door, front and side along with mesh windows all three sides.

Q: Can I buy it in USA? I'm in New York area. How strong is the floor fabric? I have a dog and concern that her paws might ruin the fabric.

2 Answers
  • A: You should be concerned - depending how big your dog is... It's a fabric floor and thin at best - based on the construction of the rest of the tent, I wouldn't think it would take much to put a hole in it.

Q: “Fly Fabric Coating: Rainguard™ 1,200 mm Water-Resistant Coating with Taped Seams” Do you expect dew to leak thru the tent the first camping trip? If you haven’t seam sealed your tent the first trip and it didn’t leak, please le me know what brand to buy!

1 Answer
  • A: This product does include a water-resistant coating as well as taped seams on the underside of the rain fly cover, however no tent is waterproof. Seam sealing is a recommend practice for new or used tents each season to ensure that all sewn seams are protected. This should be done to internal seams of the tent only. While the tent is water-resistant prolonged rain or heavy rain may pool and leak through the tent over time.

Q: My local store has a different color of this tent. Is it last years model? The local store in my area does not have this tent in the shown color and I am wondering if it is last years model? Are there any feature changes besides the color if so?

1 Answer
  • A: Models can change from year to year and color can be one of the changes. The Jasper 6 did experience colour changes (previously orange, currently blue) as well as pole specification changes. A gear loft was also replaced with a tablet pocket.
