Works great. Very easy to install. Before I purchased I searched information online. I noted that there were commments by some owners of the product loosing contact with their wifi. To prevent this from happening do the following when you start the unit. - when you plug it in hold down the button on the unit. The led light will blink for a few seconds then go out. Keep holding the button down until the led resumes blinking. This resets any settings in the unit and you shouldn't have any connectivity issues. I have three of the WION products ( one exterior and two interior) they work flawlessly. The exterior one has been running for three months no issues. The interior ones for two months no issues. Very much recommended

Not in the instructions: If you want to have a lamp turn on at dusk, and off at 10:30 at night, set up two programs, the sun tracker, and a second timer turning it on at 9 pm and off at 10:30 pm. Maintained the settings after a power failure.

I am using this Wi-Fi controlled switch to power my main stereo receiver, television, and cable box. I use the scheduling within the WiOn application to turn it off at night and back on during the afternoon (during the week) and morning (during the weekends). The stereo, TV, and cable box are always drawing phantom power when simply plugged into the wall outlet. By shutting off the power with this switch on a schedule, I am sure I will recover the cost with savings on my hydro bill. I also like the ability to manually turn it on with the switch, if required. If my kids are off of school or have a snow day then they can still turn on the TV without needing the application. Only down side I can see is that it doesn't integrate into whole home automation systems like Samsung's SmartThings or Google Home. However, for simple control over a few plugs this is all you need.

I've had the switch for about 3 weeks at this point and the outdoor version for about 4 weeks. The switches work great and I have no complaints in that regard. I do have two minor issues and one is with the app you use to control the switches. It's not entirely intuitive in the way it's setup with the switch and I had some issues both times I had to set them up. I would like a pairing button on the switch rather than having to start it in AP mode, connect the phone to it, setup the network it's supposed to connect to and then have it do it's thing. The second thing is also with the app and how when I try to select the specific switch the app won't let me and I have to fiddle around for some time before I can select a switch in order to change the schedule. It would also be nice if it allowed network settings to be preset for a new network before disconnecting from the old as it otherwise forces the whole setup procedure to be done all over again and if you have more than just one switch it's rather cumbersome and time consuming. Apart from these minor issues, they've been solid and I use the outdoor switch for Christmas lights while the indoor switch is connected in the garage and controls the block heater on the van.
