We purchased this light for our rec room in the basement of over our Oak Bar, we stained the oak to mission oak to match our bar and it looks great, energy efficient and provides perfect lighting in our bar area. Insert give the look of more expensive lighting.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Pretty good for the price

This fixture actually comes with a T8/T12 ballast - use the T8 32 watt lights, not only will they use less power, they will be much brighter than the 40 watt T12's (contrary to what the other reviewer said - I guess he may have gotten a 25 watt T8). The oak frame is nice, the pattern on the plastic fools the casual eye in thinking it is stained glass - nice effect for the price.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    watch out for the bulbs

If you purchaes this light, the add only tells you it takes T-8 32 Watt bulbs. When in fact you get the light like I did, it says right on the light itself it also takes T-12 40 Watt. I made the mistake of buying what I thought were the beefiest T-8 bulbs I could find, (which were not even available at my Canadian Tire Store), they did have endless supplies of T-12's even though all there lights say to take T-8's. DO NOT USE THE T-8's. You might as well light a bic lighter on your ceiling, they are so dull. I even got another set of bulbs from a friend, same thing. T-12's were a marked inprovement. The wood siding blocks out any light on the side so you need all the help you can get to get ths thing to give light. So dont use the T-8 unless you like a very dull room.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
