Water tastes so good!

The water tastes so goooood! It tastes like... water! I've used the GWF8 filtration system since 2012 with great satisfaction. Recently, the silicone float seal controlling the water flow gets stuck in the bottom hole of the lower chamber. I must hit the lower chamber with my fist to dislodge the silicone seal and let the water flow into the dispenser reservoir. I regularly clean the silicone seal and float mechanism, making sure the float seal is inserted correctly. Is it possible to buy a replacement silicone seal?
Yes, I recommend this product.

Doesn't work with floor model

These products are being marketed as working together when, in fact, you have to call the company to get an adaptor. Not mentioned on this site or any retailer site or in any manual. Big problem.

We are sorry to see you are upset but in the manual we clearly state "The Vitapur® Water Filtration System is designed to fit all Vitapur® water dispensers and most other brand names. Depending on your water dispenser, you may have to remove the bottle support collar and/or piercing valve from your dispenser in order for the filtration system to fit.

GWF8 does not fit in VWD266BLP dispenser

Hi there, I am excited to have my filtration system and dispenser, but the filtration system does not fit into the water dispenser. Are the two compatible? If so, how do I fix it?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a year, it is simply fantastic. Unlike a brita filter it takes up no room in the fridge. No need to worry about refilling plastic bottles at the store.

Silicone float keeps leaking

The float came out the first time I filled the jug. I was able to make it stay in for a year without issue. After a year, I took it apart to clean, and now it leaks every time I fill it. The float design needs to be changed.

A: Hello! We can't guarantee that our this water filtration system would work on a water dispenser that we do not make. However, Vitapur, Greenway, Polar, and select Hampton Bay water dispensers are compatible with this water filtration system. - GHP Group

Q: Use with a ceramic dispenser? We already have a ceramic water dispenser and stand. Could we use this filter with our dispenser instead of an electric one? Does it require the vacuum seal or will it gravity feed? Thanks.

A: Our vendor responded with the following: Unfortunately we are unable to provide 100% confirmation that our Filtration System is 100% compatible with the Ceramic, (Crock Pot) type water dispenser. We can confirm our filtration system does not require a vacuum seal and is a gravity flow system controlled by a mechanical float system. Assuming the filtration system sits perfectly flush on top of the ceramic dispenser and the float is unimpeded, no reason it wouldn’t work.
