I, too, have been using Vision cooking ware for decades and have never needed anything else. The secret is the glass, it transfers heat around the whole pot, not just where the element or gas flames come in contact. The heat is even throughout and you don’t need as much for the cooking process. What you might have cooked on high, you have to cook on medium using Vision, or you will burn the lot, that’s how well the heat transfer works. You can save on energy costs. For pasta, I boil the water, pour the pasta in, stir, place the lid on and turn off the heat. It is done in 7 to 10 minutes. Great cookware!

I have used these pots for over 30 years and love them. I just bought the two piece set to add to my set. Hopefully Canadian Tire will handle the whole set. They are really durable and go easily from stove, to microwave, and to refrigeration and leave no after taste ever. I wouldn't use any other pot.

Q: Are these safe to use with the lids on for boiling as shown in the promo image above? I had heard the lids were "Not Boiler safe?" Is there any risk of shattering when switching from hot to cold quickly as with other glass products?

A: Yes, the lids are safe to use on the pots, just as shown in the photos. You are getting the word "broiler" confused with "boiler"... (and incidentally, there is no such word as "boiler", at least not in this context). However, "not broiler-safe" refers to oven use, specifically during use of the "broiler", which is the heating element located at the top of the oven and typically allows only 2 heat settings: high and low. The intense, direct heat of the broiler is usually closer in proximity to the cookware, though that depends also on which level the oven rack holding the cookware is placed on, but for the most part the heat generated from the broiler can run much higher than the heat generated from the bottom element during normal oven use. And it's because the lids are reportedly made of a different material than the pots themselves that the recommended conditions under which the lids may be used are slightly different than the conditions for the cookware bases, Hope that clarification helps.
