Great Product!

A long time ago I purchased a B&D VP750 Cordless Screwdriver and still use it. I have one VP110 VersaPak battery left also bought long time ago. I decided I better look for a replacement battery in case I need one. Both of these products have lasted this long. I noticed that the VP750 was released in 1999, and I'm sure that's about when I purchased it. How many battery operated tools last this long?

Perhaps I didn't use these batteries correctly but they seemed to run out of juice quickly and it also died after a year of household use. Think i shold last longer

Versapak Gold Battery

The Gold Versapak Battery is an excellent long lasting battery. It outlasts its Silver predecessor 10 fold. There is a date stamp on this battery so you know how long it's been on the shelf. Love the fact it's used in many different tools and flashlights.

Bateries lose charge quickly after bought new

I bought a dual charger and two Versapak batteries, both lose charge quickly. I use them in a handheld drill and they last less than half an hour each. If placed outside the charge, the batteries went dead in less than a day. Very disappointed. I don't think the batteries are that bad, I wonder if the batteries are left on the shelf too long and therefore are no longer considered "new" batteries? I strongly suggest that a manufacturing date be stamped on the battery so customers know if the battery is too old.
