Very easy to install. Suggest that if multiple boxes are required you open all of them and use from each box as you install. Don't use one box at a time. The product can be cut to fit using a utility knife or heavy duty scissors. We marked the cut line by scoring with a knife on the finish side. We're very happy with the finished results, it looks great against the granite counter top in our wet bar.

A: Did not use as backsplash I used it to do the floor surrounding the fireplace .Just dry dust the surround .

A: Not at all. You can if you want… but it’ll take away from the natural stone look by adding a layer over top of it. I clean mine with a soft vacuum brush attachment, and water and soap will wipe away most stains.

Q: Can this be used to cover over existing tiles like the other peel and stick versions?

A: I suppose you could. They're extremely adhesive so that won't be an issue. You would want to make sure the surface is somewhat level. If you're referring to putting these tiles over the same one or type, I would say no because the surface is too uneven and it probably wouldn't adhere right.

A: Gas fireplaces operate at significantly lower temps than wood burning fireplaces and will be fine to use on these tiles...Since there will be some heat, the important thing here is to do a nearly full spread adhesive on the bonding surface with PL Premium construction adhesive. This will ensure a stronger bond that will resist any effects of the heat.
