great starting combo

This is a great combo to start fly fishing with, reel not so great I will be replacing it wit a better one, rod is fine though . My first day fishing I landed a 14 inch land-lock salmon with the flies included with no issues. If you are not sure if you will like fly fishing this is a good place to start. I debated for weeks if I should buy this combo or just go for a more expensive one, glad I picked this one however I will get a better one and keep this as a spare.

Good beginner setup

Great price to see if fly fishing is for you. Just don't expect it to last very long. Reel is poor quality but the rod has great action. Can't handle big pike.

Great Starter Combo!

I bought this combo as a starter package when I got into fly fishing. It's durable and hasn't caused any problems. I've caught trout, pink salmon and bass with this combo and it delivers every time. You can't go wrong for the price too.

this is one of the first fly rods i purhased and it is a great beginer rod. the only problem i had was the reel i would recomend that you buy a diffrent reel. caught quiet a few fish on this rod but know im moving on to a diffrent rod

Q: My reel stopped clicking has lost tension after a single use. Is there a way to fix this or has my reel broken?

A: Try to tighten the drag on the reel, you can do this by tightening the “nut” on the back side of the reel, the one opposite to the reel handle. This will get the spool to re-engage and the tension to come back.
