Worked for one summer

It worked fine when we bought it last summer, but now the lighting mechanism isn't working, and there doesn't seem to be a way of getting in there to fix it or replace it. It was kept indoors through the winter. I'd think about buying the rechargeable one but the price for the refills is ridiculous
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Power source would be the fuel cartridge. Comes with an igniter to turn on the thermacell.

Q: What is the fuel type? Butane? Can we refill the fuel cartridge or we need to buy new one each time?

A: Hi. Refills are an additional purchase. The butane cannot be refilled due to safety reasons and product efficiency. At the initial purchase of your repeller, it comes with a 12-hr refill unless it is a promotion going on with the retailer.
