not worth the money

bought one of these when it was on sale just to find out that I was too heavy for it. It has an unrealistic weight restriction on it.

Waste of Money

This was the biggest waste of money ever! If you want a hard workout, this machine is not for you. It basically fell apart the first time I used it and just felt chea (which it was). Needless to say I sold it and went back and bought the Livestrong 8.0 - LOVE IT! Its worth the extra money to buy a quality machine that will give you a good workout.

J'utilise l'appareil depuis bientôt 6 mois plusieurs fois semaine. Mis à part quelques bruits bizarres qui commencent à se faire entendre, l'appareil est excellent. Toutefois, attendre les spéciaux avant d'acheter, j'ai payé 243$ + taxes.

Expected Better for the Price!

This is an average piece of equipment at best. About 2 weeks after assembly and mild use, it began to squeak. I took apart the the main vertical bar, applied grease and tightened the allen key bolts. This lasted for about 3 weeks. The loop shaped bar at the top center of the unit where your pulse is determined kept coming loose and falling off. The allen bolts that came with the device can only be tightened so far with an allen key.
I was becoming very annoyed at the constant squeaking after slight use and the allen bolts coming loose. I went to HOME DEPOT and purchased $10 worth of hex bolts that can be tightened with a ratchet. I took the entire front end apart, greased every joint and tightened all the hex bolts that I bought to replace the allen key bolts that came with the unit. I also used thread locker prior to tightening the hex bolts. I had to drill out the threads where the top loop was bolted and place one long hex bolt in place of the 2 allen keys that were holding it in place. Now it seems to be holding together and it's no longer squeaking. If you buy this unit, be prepared to hire a mechanic to keep it together. I was expecting better value for the money. My daughter-in-law purchased a model that was $200 cheaper than this one and she didn't have any of the issues that I had!!

A: The base takes up an area of 40" X 19". The height from the floor to the top of the handle bar is 60" or 5 Feet.

Q: is there any way to change this display to km instead of miles? It looks like it should be an option (km is greyed out on the lcd screen) but the manual does not say anything and there is no physical switch.

A: How to change miles to kilometres on Johnson Health Tech Fitness Equipment Distance measurement can be changed by accessing the machine's Engineering Mode. Engineering mode has 3 or 4 different functions, depending on the machine. Engineering mode is also used for functionality test, display tests, and data storage. Most machines can be switched from miles to kilometres by accessing Engineering Mode 2 (EN92) or Engineering Mode 3 (EN93) How to Access Engineering Mode: > On Treadmills: Press and hold INCLINE UP/+ and SPEED DOWN/-. On Ellipticals : Press and hold RESISTANCE UP/+ and RESISTANCE DOWN/- for 3 to 5 seconds > The machine should beep 3 times and the display should scroll and/ or show ENGINEERING MODE or ENG > Use the UP/+ and DOWN/- to navigate until you reach the desired Engineering mode. EN92 or EN93 >Once on EN92 or EN93, press ENTER, then press START to switch between miles/kilometres
