poor quality zero reliability

I have owned this trimmer and another smaller 2 cycle and this one is horrible. It quite often is very tempermental in starting if it starts at all. The trimmer head does not keep string on it it constantly feeds it out, and to try and load the string is a huge pain. spen you money elsewhere for a better trimmer.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible Crank shaft, spool head keeps retracting

really hard to start with hand crank, need to do it with a drill but of course they designed the thing for you to have to buy the drill bit thingy. They could have used a common allen key slot but no they went with a custom 5 sided drill slot that no one has. Done to increase profits of course. Spool head also keeps retracting for no reason.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Durable and hard working

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the second season I've used it and am fairly happy. I do five lawns and it works well. If I'm not patient, it can be frustrating to start sometimes but it just takes a couple tries. Got a pump it a few times and then pull the cord a few times and go back and forth and it runs well. My one issue with it is that if I want it just to idle, many times it just turns off. It must be a setting with the throttle or something. Overall, I'm very happy. I would love to try the blower attachment.

Q: what size screws are needed to attach cutting head shield on troy bilt tb525ec gas trimmer. I bought said trimmer on July 17 . Last one on shelf. Box was open. As is often the case when you buy a product in an open box parts were missing. Luckily just the 4 screws that attach the cutting shield to the shaft.
