Q: now I am really confused you are telling people they need two pole to run the baseboard heater but 052 -1461-2 thermostat say single pole for the 052-1455-8 baseboard heater so what is it single or two pole?

A: well I am an electrician and that makes no sense there are single pole switches etc for 120 volt things and there are double pole devices for 240 volt things?

A: The Stelpro baseboard heater must be connected to a breaker in the control panel. There is no possibility for it to be connected to a power outlet.

A: Hello, The baseboard you mentioned does't have a buit-in thermostat. The built-in thermostat is an option, thus you can purchase it separately and install it yourself. Electronic built-in thermostat : SIBTE12C or Mechanical built-in thermostat : SIBT1 Thanks

Q: I used this heater to replace an old heater which was controlled by a dbl pole dimplex wall therm. The old heater turned off when the dial was at zero. This one is on all the time and no increase in heat when dial is on. Do I need a stelpro thermostat?

A: A Stelpro thermostat is not required to control this product. It appears that there is a wiring problem somewhere. You must contact a certified electrician to install your baseboard heater.
