Nice quiet unit, but some important issues

Issues with installation due to the need adapt the window to compensate for the configuration of how the window actually fits into the bottom frame. It should also be highlighted in the unit's listing and manuals that this unit will not function due to its Inverter Compressor with a GFCI or an AFCI outlet.

I decided I would try this one, I have been using a couple of portable AC units for a while. Two 14000 BTU units, one in each room, and they still did not cool enough. I did some research and and showed widow units were much more efficient, thought I would try this. Huge difference this 1 unit way outperforms two portable 14000 BTU units I had. Quite, very easy to install and the app was easy to set up and easy to use. I use the app all the time, to turn unit on, on the way home from work

Cool ok, noise terrible.

I think i received one of the renewed recall model. It cools the room ok, but i just cannot stand the noise. The constant watery and bubbly noise and it produce so much cooling water outside of the window.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is our 2nd AC from Midea. Works as expected except it makes an odd noise occasionally when the compressor kicks in. (brand new out of the box) Contacted Midea CS support for help. Service ticket created to determine cause. Our other Midea is whisper quiet which motivated me to buy this one for another bedroom. Would prefer that Midea replace this new unit rather than an attempt to fix it.

Super Quiet

We have a pretty open downstairs and this unit will cool the entire floor. It is very quiet. Every once in a while it can do some shaking and we can hear/feel it but it's nothing compared to a full window AC. It came with a bunch of extra drain plugs so the recall issue shouldn't be a problem. Installation took some time but the quietness is worth it. I'm sure it'll be quicker next summer. So far, very happy!
