Effortless cleaning!

I have five cats and hardwood floors — if I don’t vacuum daily, the cat hair turns into tumbleweeds the size of a truck tire! The Shark AI robot vac does an amazing job of disguising the fact that I’m a crazy cat lady…my floors have never been cleaner. The self-emptying feature makes keeping my floors clean effortless.

I have the original “robot” and loved it but it broke after 3 years. This one pleasantly surprised me. We have a busy family of 5 with a baby and a cat! This was amazing!

Great for customized cleaning

Easy to operate out of the box! Has an amazing array of options and features in the app - checkout my home map!
You can create no go zones, target areas and more. The more it runs the smarter it gets! Love that you have cleaning options ECO NORMAL and MAX modes so cleaning is not guesswork!
I feel like this is a more compact size vs my other model. Emptying is easy and making sure you rinse and replace filters really helps.

I bought a Shark Vacuum last year on Boxing Day, and was so pleased with the performance that I bought this second one. Unfortunately my first one failed a few days after I bought this one, mere days outside of Warranty. Shark customer service pretty much told me "Too bad, here's a coupon for our overpriced web store". I found out online that they use a grossly underpowered motor for the side brush, and once that fails the entire vacuum is useless. Very expensive vacuum for it to completely die at 13 months with no support.

A: I've had mine for about a year now, it does pretty well on any surface. Mine runs on full power all the time and it can cover the whole main floor twice before it needs to recharge(about an hour)

A: No, however, you then have to push the clean button on the vacuum every time you want it to clean. If you do connect it to WiFi, it will give you a cleaning schedule, map areas (so that you can send it to a specific area only to clean if need be). And the app will give you a better idea if there is error messages and what they mean.

A: Yes and no. If you want to set up a schedule or have the vacuum map out your space, you will need either a cell or a tablet to download the Shark app. BUT you can just manually start it on the vacuum. If I were you, I'd look at a cheaper model if you don't intend on using the app controlled features

A: Hi Cora, The actual height of the RV2502AECA actual robot is 3.75" in total height. The height of the self empty system height is almost 14". Hopefully this information helps you make the right decision for a cleaner home

Q: Does this support muti floor cleaning? I mean keep the base on main floor and use it on all other floors, it will map rooms as belonging to basement, main floor and top floor, so that i do not need different robots for different floors?

A: It doesn't map multi floors. I use two robots for two floors but on the good side, it saves time vacuuming simultaneously.

Q: Does this vacuum detect animal "accidents"? I had a robot vacuum years ago, and although my dog very rarely had accidents, it did NOT detect it. Now I'm paranoid.

A: No, it does not. The obstacles have to be certain height before it will detect it as an obstacle otherwise it will try to overcome it by rolling over it from different angles.
