    Low price, but don't buy.

At first glance the low price of this TV looks like a great deal, wich I would have to agrew with, however owning this TV is not worth the constant frustration. There were so many different issues with it that made daily life so annoying. The main issues for us were: -UI would freeze ALL THE TIME. For example it would get stuck on the 'no input' screen, or on the youtube app loading screen very frequently. The only way to fix this is to unplug it and plug it back in. -Remote would become unresponsive for minutes at a time. We'd go to turn down the TV and nothing would happen. You couldn't even turn it off from the remote to restart it. 10 minutes later it would execute ALL of the inputs that you entered during that time. So if you pressed VOl UP 20 times then the volume would go way up. -The color would randomly go totally pink. This was very infrequent but was very annoying. The color would get totally messed up all of a sudden and the only way to fix it is to turn off the TV and restart it. There are a few things about this TV that we liked: -Great picture -Great price -3 HDMIs -Youtube and Netflix button on remote Anyway, definitely would not recommend and would never buy again.

I bought it yesterday...the screen is flickering every 5 seconds, does not do it on my other three TV's....sound is not too good....it detected my internet wi-fi modem easily....and it is user friendly, like connect to Netflix and go through all the setup....but it's too bad the screen flickering cannot stop....I think I will bring the TV back at Canadian Tire tomorrow or Monday...

I am no Techi , But you get what you pay for

I have had the lilttle brother to this tv for 2 yrs in fact my wife bought 2 , no it's not 4k but it is a smart and connects wireless . at the time she purchased a chrome cast as well because the tv in living room is not a smart tv. after installing the chrome cast the small tv picked up and streamed netflix youtube from not only her tablet but my phone as well we have never had any problems other than having to reset wireless from power outages. now this new seiki 4k we have purchased has been running strong since the day we brought it home . no problems with wireless or streaming use . this tv was purchased for my main computer monitor it runs fine the resolution is great ! there are HDMI ports on the back of tv but ONE is labeled 4K this did make a big difference for connecting PC !!!! It may not be what people expect and for the audio the sound is decent but why would you buy a tv these days with out a sound bar or some kind of theatre system . I suggest if you are going to buy this tv walk down the aisle a bit and pick up the little seiki sound bar it's not a rocker by far but enjoyable but like i said you get what you pay for . and yes i would recommend

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Not worth it.

Main Complaints: The picture quality is garbage for 720p and 1080p content. Haven't had a chance to test out the 4K content (reasons below). No 5GHz (wireless AC) wifi connectivity. You get sub par wireless N speeds which make it kind of hard to stream high def Netflix content. Speaking of Netflix content: the app hasn't been updated since 2014. There's no way to update the app. At this point you might think "It's OK, I can just stream content to the TV myself". Read on. No Plex or DLNA compatible app to stream content from your local media server on the network. Can't stream or cast to this from your PC/Laptop (no miracast compatibility). Sound quality isn't the best. The remote works only if you're pointing at the TV directly.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: is this hdmi 2.2 compliant

    1 Answer
    • A: Seiki 4K Smart TVs are HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 compliant. The customer was probably referring to HDCP 2.2 content protection support, since HDMI standard is currently at HDMI 2.0 (HDMI 2.1 has not been released yet). HDCP 2.2 support allows a customer to connect external 4K HDMI devices to TV such as 4K cable/satellite box, 4K media players (Roku 4, Amazon Fire 4K TV) or Ultra HD Blu-ray players
