Love this 45 gallon can. Have 4. Had them for years but the lids have cracked and cannot find replacement lids anymore.

It is a garbage bin

Super lightweight and will likely also blow away on a windy day like the last one did. All because the garbage collectors just toss your bin without a care of where it ends up. Personally over priced but a necessity. It's been 4 weeks I've used it 3 weeks and it has remained in my possession. Does what it's supposed to do, may not likely keep animals out, but I have a garbage hut to keep it away from animals prior to putting the garbage out.

City Approved, Apparently Not Garbage Truck Approved

I’ve purchased four of these Rubbermaid 121 L circular wheeled garbage cans in the past 12 months, not because I love them, but because they’re one of the few options my city will accept for curbside pickup. Unfortunately, they just don’t hold up.
Each one has ended up cracked or smashed to bits. Yes, the garbage company could absolutely be more careful, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that the plastic quality feels about as durable as the garbage it’s meant to carry. For something designed to be dragged, lifted, tipped, and handled weekly, it should be far more resilient.
At this point I feel like I’m on a subscription plan I never signed up for. If you have any other approved options available in your area, I’d seriously consider them.

A: Rubbermaid Refuse Cans are made of either LDPP OR LDPE which is Low Density Polypropylene or Low Density Polyethylene. They are are not food grade.

A: Apparently not, however they should sell replacment lids, because we bought ours 3weeks ago and now the wind blew the lid away and we can't replace. So I guess they expect me to buy acomplete unit again! NOT ! ! !
