iRobot Roomba 106 vacuum + auto empty dock

I am still getting use to it. I was hoping that it would be bagless, which it isn’t. There wasn’t any start up instructions either nor a remote control which would have been better to have both. Still not 100% sure how to get it started. I push buttons until it starts.

Very Impressed with the 106 compared to my 980!

To be fair my house uses a 980 (smart) and 600 series (non smart) and just bumps around till it finishes. So after I couldn't get my 980 to setup on my phone after a battery change I picked up the 106 thinking it'll be more basic than my 980 but that's okay. Well, I was WRONG as this model performs very well for much less and in fact I like also that I can send it out to do a specific room by simply asking Google rather than how my 980 used to have to do the whole house or place it manually in a room by hand! The navigation system is brilliant and took one quick zoom around my house and I had a well laid out map and created stay out zones and renamed the rooms and even divided the rooms into specific zones which is now very useful. Having the self dumping feature at first was something I didn't think I'd care for but now that I see it action I'm a fan of having it! The battery appears to not last as long as my 980 but it takes a quick break in its cycle, recharges and finishes the job so that's not a factor. I've set the vacuum on standard power and it's VERY quiet compared to my other Roombas, that's a welcoming bonus!
