Q: Can this be used to enclose the underbelly of a travel trailer?

Q: Can this product be used on the metal front rock guard on our travel trailer?
2 years agoA: Yes it can, make sure the surface you are applying the rock guard too, is well prepped, washed, scuffed / sanded and has no grease or oils on surface before applying and no loose paint etc, the coating is only as good as the surface it attaches too

Q: Hello, how long does this coating last? How soon does it need to be reapplied? Does it eventually dry and crack, allowing moisture behind the coating if the coating has not been removed? How to remove the coating if needed? Thank you.
a year agoA: This is a very good product and I’ve used it for many years. How long will it last depends on where it is applied if it’s applied where it gets direct sunlight, it is probably good for around five years without any problems after that, it starts to deteriorate with sun and elements. If you want to remove it, you need harsh chemicals or grind it off

Q: would this be a good product to use on a custom built bumper?
4 years agoA: 047-7939 Rocker Guard undercoating is not designed for direct application as a bumper coating. It is not recommended for this application but may be used to coat the underside of vehicles, trailers, wheel wells, trunk areas, etc.

5 years agoA: Yes, it may be used in non-critical applications (above grade) to well-weathered and properly prepared wood. It will not penetrate and will not perform like a stain/varnish or oil based finish. It would work best over a previously applied coating if properly prepared (cleaned and lightly sanded).
