    All you need

I bought this stove because it was so cheap, and it has surpassed all of my expectations. I've now had it for a few years. It can be a little bit tippy--make sure you have a good level surface and are careful around it. It's extremely light and easy to pack. It's also very easy to control the temperature, whether you want to boil water or lightly fry something. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a stove on a budget.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent stove. I don't buy anything without doing a lot of research and comparisons so let me save you some hassle. I wanted a stove that can accept small and large cookware. It had to boil water quickly on minimal fuel. Heat control for cooking was a must. Light weight was a deciding factor as well. After reading coultess reviews on so many different stoves I thought that this was one of those too good to be true situations considering the low cost of this stove. It came down to two stoves. The Classic trail stove and the MSR Dragonfly. Considering the cost I was sceptical but took a leap of faith. what I found with the Classic trail stove on a three day canoe trip for two was it boiled one liter of water in under three minutes. It works relatively well in windy conditions. Packs up smal and comes apart in two pieces (will fit anywhere in my pack). Used it to boil water, fried some fish, and cooked all of our meals on it. It did all of this on one 230g propane/isobutane canister! I did order a Primus canister three legged stand online, but it did not arrive in time for this trip. It was stable enough resting on the canister to support a 9" frypan. The heat control is amazing. You can turn the flame down to the point where you're not certain it's still burning. Such a simple design that nothing could really go wrong with it. Hope this review helps.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can this unit be used indoors, safely?

    1 Answer
    • A: We don’t recommend anyone use a combustible fuel stove indoors. It’s not safe on many levels. all camping stoves come with warnings affixed in at least 2 places stating that they are for outdoor use only. That stove is no different. It has warnings attached and they’re to be adhered to.

Q: Replacement parts I over-torqued the jet nipple inside the valve assembly, tiny 6mm hex bolt, and ripped it in half. Spare part from Primus costs more than the stove itself. Is there anything you can do for me in terms of replacement parts?

    1 Answer
    • A: This unit carries a one (1) year exchange warranty against defects in workmanship and materials when accompanied by proof of purchase. We do not carry replacement parts for this product.
