Excellent product!

We've had years of deer eating away at our flower beds in Mont-Tremblant. Since using this product NOT a single plant has been touched this summer. My neighbours across the street are now using the same product and are having the same success!

Works like a charm on squirrels

I bought this at the home show in the spring because everything I planted was dug up by the squirrels. So I started spraying the root of the plant before I put it in the ground as well as spraying around it. It hasn't lasted as long as it says (2 - 3 months in summer) but everything I sprayed was left untouched. Anything I was too lazy to spray was pulled up. Going out to buy my second bottle tonight at CT to spray on the shed to see if that will keep the mice and squirrels out over the winter. Will update next year.

I've been using this since spring and no deer in the garden. A bit smelly, but well worth the lack of destruction that normally occurs.

not deer repellent

I purchased this product last week. I followed the directions and sprayed my (dry) garden flowers that the deer had been eating. To my surprise and dismay, the doe was back the very next day eating what was left of my "deer repellent covered" lilies. I suggest trying deer resistant plants, and a tall fence for around the veggie garden.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How irritating is the smell to people? We're trying to repel squirrels in our eaves, which is right beside our patio--how easily to people smell this repellent?

A: Plantskydd Ready-To-Use Liquid does have a significant odor when first applied, but after drying for 6-8 hours the odor is not detectable by humans. Plantskydd was designed to be applied directly to plant material to prevent animal browsing, so the application in question is not really the intended use. We do not recommend spraying metal, wood or concrete, as the product is difficult to wash off of these surfaces. Some gardeners have reported successfully repelling animals by spraying sponges or cloth material and positioning these around the area to be protected with a spacing of approximately 4-5 feet.
