Fastest glue in the west

Have you ever wanted an epoxy that sets so fast you can't even get it off the popsicle stick before it's turned into boogers, yet takes twice as long as standard epoxy to properly cure? Well this is the glue for you! Seriously though, I could see it being of some use to set an awkward (but non-critical!) joint where appearance isn't an issue, but otherwise I'll stick to good old JB.

Expired Epoxy Hardener for Store Clearance

Bought this Permatex Epoxy when it was in Store Clearance without noticing the hardener had its color changed and was already harden inside its tube. When I opened the package to use it just a few days later, I couldn't squeeze any hardener out off its tube to mix with the resin. Hope others be aware of Canadian Tire's typical practice to sell products in the names of Store Clearance, Sale and Hot Sale!

Great product but be quick to use it!

I used this for the first time because it was on sale. I am glad I did because it works amazingly. I went back and bought two more so I'd have it on hand. It is surprising how many times I've already used it for small repairs.

However, it is suggested to use our Permatex® Steel Weld 4 Minute Epoxy (Canadian Tire Part #038-3813) which is a fast setting, steel-reinforced epoxy that can be used to repair, form or rebuild steel and many other metals. - Thank you

A: Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, Permatex 1 Minute Epoxy can be used to fill holes and gaps in wood. It will bond Metal, Wood, Rubber, Fibreglass, Chrome, Glass, Fabric and Ceramic. Before applying the epoxy be sure to clean out and remove loose debris from the working area. If you need a longer working time than 1 minute, you can also consider using Permatex 5 Minute Epoxy. This provides a 5 minute setup time. Thank you.

Q: Would this work on a cracked hose connection for spray tan gun? Is it safe subject to heat and air? Just temp fix till my replacement hose arrives.

A: Thank you for contacting us. Regarding your question - its hard to say whether this product would work. It all depends on the temperature range and the material of the hose itself. Due to the nature of this application - we would not recommend you use this product.

Q: Can this be used on a coolant reservoir? I have a 2009 Dodge Journey and the coolant tank has started to leak, Just wondering if this product would be able to resist the heat temperature.

A: PermaPoxyTM 1 Minute Clear Epoxy can do the job. But it cures in 1 minute which would force you to work quickly to fix this leak. Permatex recommends using 90351 Spider Patch® Plastic Tank Repair Kit This product is NOT for use on plastic FUEL tanks. Quick permanent repairs to leaks in all types of plastic tanks. Repairs cracks up to 10cm (4”) long and holes up to 9mm (3/8”) in diameter. Fast curing. Everything required for repair is included Easy to follow instructions Contents: epoxy pouch, sandpaper, fibreglass cloth, application brush, alcohol towelette, instruction sheet. Applications: Ideal for cars, trucks, boats and RV’s. Windshield washer reservoirs, radiator overflow tanks, coolant reservoirs, water and waste tanks.
