Pond Boss' Winter Pond De-Icer keeps a small area of your pond water ice-free, allowing oxygen in and toxic gasses out even in winter. The de-icer saves energy by cycling on and off automatically, maintaining just 200°F when needed. Constructed from durable PPS polymer, the internal thermostat turns the heater on slightly above freezing and off as the pond warms. A blue light indicates standby mode when plugged in but the pond is unfrozen, while green signals operation below freezing. The efficient 300-watt heating element only runs when required to keep a small area ice-free, keeping operating costs low. Included is a 20-foot cord.
