Bought it because I need it.

Works well but trips our breaker often (once per use). Can't run two elements at the same time and setting above 8 on only one. We are using the garage breaker which we use for scale saw and other power tools without ever having this problem. Elements are both a bit small and only covers part of the regular size frying pans we use. We have a single unit from the same company with a larger element that runs perfectly.

Hi Guilless, Salton’s Double Induction Cooktop (model ID1487) is designed to operate with both burners at the same time. To prevent tripping your breaker, we recommend using the unit on a dedicated 15-amp circuit and avoiding sharing the outlet with other appliances.
It’s also important to use appropriately sized cookware. For optimal performance, the cookware diameter should be between 4" and 10". CustomerCare

Q: How much electricity does it need.

A: It needs the same 115 to operate, it doesn’t last very long and I couldn’t use anything else in the same outlet it shut off the breaker. I couldn’t use both burners at the same time unless it was on low. The heating is not even all around the element it will burn your food even on low. I don’t think I saved anything using it and there is no place to get it repaired.Sorry to say.
