Good vacuum, poor online service from Canadian Tire!

So far an excellent vacuum cleaner, it picks up pet hair better than my old Bissel Pet Pro. Canadian Tire's online experience leaves much to be desired however. I went through the buying steps as indicated and for the second time CT failed to send my a confirmation email (which has the order number necessary to track) and I received no email telling me it was ready for pickup. And no it wasn't in my junk folder. I get all kinds of emails from CT but they can't seem to send the confirmation email correctly. Fortunately I printed the screen with my order number before completing the online purchase. This has happened to me on 2 previous occasions, an email to CT support was necessary to confirm the purchase went through and the item was ready for pickup. I prefer to buy from CT rather than some US online retailer but the hoops are a real barrier to future purchases.

Do NOT recommend

This vacuum is great...when it actually works. I'm not sure if I have a faulty product or if they are all flawed. I've had this vacuum less than a year and have had to replace the belt and brush twice already. I live in a small apartment that takes maybe 5 minutes of vacuuming per week. I was able to use the product warranty but when I have to keep calling to replace these parts every couple months something is wrong. I believe the brushes are faulty causing the bearing to go out and making it harder for the brush to spin. Ultimately, this leads to the belt melting/breaking. So you will constantly have to replace the brush and belt. This should not happen for an expensive vacuum. I would appreciate a reliable replacement.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This Vacum really sucks

I have had this for over a year. We have only a small amount of carpet and no pets. I like this vacuum for its suction. I really cleans the carpet, getting the dirt and lint out. It does a much deeper cleaning than my previous upright vacuum. Good edge cleaning.

A: It does do shag carpets so long as the carpet fibres are not in bad shape - it’s such a good vacuum that it will suck the bad fibre away.

Q: I just used this for the first time on a very low pile rug, and I could not for the life of me pull it back towards me. Is something causing this? The rubber underneath maybe?

A: Unfortunately, I can't explain why that would happen but I can tell you that I have used mine on low pile and regular pile carpet and recenently a new and very deep pile area rug and I have not experienced any issues pulling or pushing mine. In fact I'm very pleased with mine.
