New Purchase, still evaluating

I am still evaluating this item. However a friend of mine bought one and it constantly kept going on and off, it was pointed to an empty field with nothing to trigger it, he tried adjusting it and nothing solved this.

Forgot to Think About the Customer

Crossing my fingers that I don't run into any sensor or battery problems. My biggest annoyance so far has been on the installation side. The manual is printed in a tiny grey font on one piece of paper, making it really difficult to read. I am a technical writer, and there's no excuse for this. Are they trying to save the cost of a piece of paper? And what's with the grey text instead of black? Does CT want customers to actually read the instructions, or are they just doing this to keep the lawyers happy?
As for the installation, someone put a lot of thought into the corner-mounting bracket, which is great, but the entire assembly is held in place with a single little "fixing screw". Drop it in the snow, as I did, and say goodbye to mounting it properly. I've tried different screws from my collection and have no idea what kind it is. Metric maybe? The box contains a small package of unnecessarily long wood screws, and drywall anchors to go with them. But this is an outdoor fixture. How about we ditch the drywall plugs and instead pack an extra screw to hold the assembly in place?
This is not rocket science. I doubt the product manager actually held one of these units in their hands.
No, I do not recommend this product.

For the price (on sale for 24.99) its great, all though im not sure if the sensor is broken or really sensitive, but it goes off constantly when nothing is moving near it.

A: The range of area is awesome, I have it close to a wooded area and its bright, don't know actual distance, but it easily covers 25ft to trees no problem, I set the sensor once and haven't touched it since, it does the job required with zero complains,
