Worked great for one year - then it broke!

I loved my new whisk, until just over a year after purchase when the silvery metal ring where the wires are inset cracked into pieces. I found this out when I fished out a bit of broken metal from the frosting on my daughter’s birthday cake. After searching my kitchen for the source of the metal, I found the broken area on my Kitchenaid whisk that I’d used to make the frosting. Lesson: don’t rely on the premium “Kitchenaid” name for quality.
