The Forbidden Chemistry of Clean

I didn’t expect my life to change when I wandered into Canadian Tire that fateful afternoon, listlessly pushing a red cart through aisles of wrenches, windshield washer fluid, and unrealized dreams. But then I saw them — Bromine Tablets — sitting there like alabaster gods in a plastic pail, whispering promises of purity, clarity, and chemical ecstasy. When I dropped the first tablet into my hot tub, time slowed. The water shimmered, trembling as if it, too, felt the sudden spark of attraction. A soft hiss escaped — not unlike a lover’s sigh — as bromine dissolved into the depths, purifying both body and soul. The scent was intoxicating: sharp, clean, slightly dangerous. My pores opened in surrender. My heart raced. Each tablet became a ritual — a slow, deliberate plunge into the steamy unknown. The fizz. The swirl. The promise of something cleaner… hotter… bromier. I couldn’t look away. By the third soak, I wasn’t sure where I ended and the bromine began. Was I man? Was I molecule? Did it matter? All I knew was that my spa gleamed like a Greek temple and smelled faintly of destiny. If you want your water to sparkle — and maybe, just maybe, to feel seen for the first time in your life — these bromine tablets are your ticket. Handle them carefully. They’re not just sanitizer… they’re seduction in tablet

Works well, but need to be smaller for soft hot tub dispensers.

Works well with Saluspa hot tubs, but I have to split them in half to place them in the distribution container (jet attachment). Not an issue, but there could be improvement for these popular tubs.

Q: I am allergic to chlorine and am looking for an alternative option for an above ground pool. Can this product be used in the pool or is it specifically for hot tubs / spa?

  • A: I have both an outdoor pool and a spa but only use this in my spa. I have never tried in the pool. Have you considered one of those sand or salt filters do you don't have to use chlorine. I ha e seen at canadian tire in previous years.

Q: Can you use Spa Aquarius pool tablets in spa? I need bromine spa tablets for my hot tub. Spa Aquarius has a 450g size Bromine Tablets for spas and a 1.5 Kg for pools (Product #81-3758-6). Can I use the bromine pool tablets in my hot tub? Are they the same?

1 Answer
  • A: We recommend that they use the Spa bromine for Spas; but for consumers who already purchased the Bromine for pool because they both have the Pool and Spa, they can also use the bromine for pool if they already have it. Please advise the consumer though to be sure to use the right dosage when using the pool bromine into their spa.

Q: What is recommended? What do you recommend to use with these tablets as a shock treatment. On the container it says a spa requires a weekly superchlorination ( Shock?) but it also says not to mix with any other product or chemical. I will be using the Bromine tabs in a floating dispenser. Please advise! Thanks

1 Answer
  • A: You should use Spa Shock (81-3709). What the label means is do not mix the chemicals in a pail. It is ok to use the products in the spa.
