Q: does this filter remove VOC compounds
10 years agoA: It’s not a simple answer - it depends on the VOC. Odor is a VOC so it does remove those very well. However, something like formaldehyde would not be removed by our current carbon filter.

Q: Is this effective for wood smoke? Our neighbours have wood-fired stoves and furnaces, and sometimes our propane forced air furnace draws their smoke into our home. Is this filter effective at removing wood smoke, and if so, how long will this effectiveness last?
11 years agoA: Hi! Thank you for question! The way that our carbon-loaded filters works is that the carbon particles are porous. As odours are filtered through the filter, these pores fill up, capturing the odour. Once full, the odour-removal capabilities of the filter stops.We suggest changing the filter at least every 3 months.
