great little pump

I bought this. hook up the lines and drained my muddy gross water that was under my deck. worked great. I can't speak for anyone that recieved a crack one but if you can't figure this pump out you should probably call someone to do it for you. and youre not getting a massive amount of lift from it because it's a 40$ pump! worth every penny.

Q: Discharge vs. input Presumably, the (rather soft looking) hose supplied is the discharge hose and that the unit needs to be placed in the water to be pumped. Is this correct?

A: The simple answer is: it doesn't pump. When you run your garden hose through the venturi nozzle it creates a suction that is supposed to pull water into the pump. When I tried it there was no water being pulled from the bucket I used to test it.

Q: How much water is using from the hose to pump 4500 liters of water out from the pool?

A: With optimal water pressure it is approximately 4 out for 1 in. Depending on the water pressure, it can vary a lot.

Q: the ads say you can use this during a power failure.... but HOW can you when there is no water pressure during a power failure? the ad should be corrected as it is very misleading

A: If your home has a well and a pump for water in the house, when there is a water failure, you cannot use the Venturi pump. But you home uses the city aqueduct, then you still have access to water from your garden hose during a power failure. Therefore, you can use the Venturi pump as it needs water to run, no electricity.

A: Oui, il faut de l'eau pour que la pompe Venturi fonctionne. Vous devez utiliser votre tuyau d’arrosage et utiliser l’eau de votre puits pour pomper de l’eau de votre étang (c’est ainsi que fonctionne l’effet venturi). Vous pouvez couper l'eau après le début de l'aspiration, mais cela ralentirait le processus et l'efficacité dépendrait de la distance entre votre piscine et votre étang, ainsi que de la différence de hauteur. Q: Quel doit être le pression ou le débit minimal du boyau d'arrossage ? Est-ce qu'il y a un graphique ou un tableau indiquant la vitesse de shiponnage versus le débit/ou pression dans le boyau qui alimente la pompe en eau car il doit avoir un débit minimum pour que la pompe fonctionne.
