Disappointed in the product

I bought this a bit ago, then it stopped working. Had to get it exchanged for another one and then that one stopped working as in when I turned it on it started to smell like it was burning. Then I went to returned it and I was charged for the newer vacuum.

Great litle machine

Great little machine for the prices, works well. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is becuse the filter over the moter has a tendency to not stay in place. It does give a small oder of burning that disipated as I used it, could be becouse it was new. I wish it would come with a dust bag (not sure they are available for this model)

Would be nice if a small brush attachment was included . Vac works as expected. A little light and tips easily. For the price it works well. I use it to vacuum dust off sanded items and sawdust off floor in basement shop.

Q: my mastervac wet/dry 18,9L vacuum came with 2 filters , the reusable cloth and the black foam filter already installed on the filter cage ,can I use them at the same time ? Cause just the cloth filter and the plastic ring doesn"t hold firmly

A: You have to use the sponge one then place cloth one over it then slide on the ring. Once the vacuum is turned on the ring will set up tighter. There is a round circle on the cloth to show you where to place it!

Q: Do you use the black foam filter and the cloth filter at the same time when dry vacuuming? If I remove the foam filter and try to use the cloth filter on it's own, it doesn't stay in place even with the ring.

A: Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you'd need to use both the black foam filter and the cloth filter when dry vacuuming. For wet vacuuming, you'd only need to use the foam filter.

Q: Have the 18.9L Mastervac - it’s impossible to remove the part that attaches the canister to the tube in order to use an actual shop vac bag. Is that a defect in the product or was it never meant to be removed? How do you use bags with this product?

A: Thanks for reaching out. It is not a defect as there's no need to remove that part when using the correct type of Shop-Vac filter bag. In this case, it would be appropriate to use either product 054-0156 or 054-0212.

Q: The filter compartment had a loose black lid inside that fell out when we unpacked. We are not sure if it belongs in there or if it's for something else? The instructions don't list this lid anywhere, and it doesn't fit anywhere else. What is it for?

A: Thanks for reaching out! The static can't be avoided, but you can wash the filters and tank. Both the wet filters and tank should be removed and allowed to air dry for 24 hours before installing onto the filter cage. Please don't wash the machine head.

Q: How to eliminate the static when passing vac? Container and attachements are full of dust & static on the exterior?
