I was switching a set of 60W equivalent bulbs to these 40W ones in a kitchen 5 bulb chandelier. The light is still very bright but better and my dimmer switch is not working for either set.

Q: Greetings! We bought this 2-pack for our desk lamp and neither work but on older incandescent bulb does. They do work in a different lamp. The base (connector) on these bulbs don't protrude as much as regular bulbs. Specs issue? What can we do?
