I bought this light so I can use an incandescent light bulb (which is a healthy light vs LED). Works perfectly. The neck is long enough to illuminate the desk well. It looks simple and clean on the desk and has an internal reflector to maximize the amount of light hitting the desk.

Nifty little reading lamp. A switch on the base instead of the head would have been better, but for the price that's not a problem.

Q: Can the For Living Classic Desk Lamp #052-4997-0 be hung on the wall?

  • A: It does not come with a wall mount, but I guess  you can hang it on a wall by either using adhesive hanging strips or drill holes in the base. It weighs just under 2.3 lbs with the bulb inserted.

Q: Can a BR30 bulb with E26 base fit in this?

Q: Does it get really hot after a long time being on.

  • A: It would really depend on the bulb used in the desk lamp. If the customer uses a halogen light it will warm up more than if an led bulb is used. If it is a concern to the customer please suggest an LED bulb.

Q: Picture shows the lamp has ON\OFF switch at base. I bought 2 of these lamps & found the switch is at back of shade. Can somebody confirm otherwise?
