Excellent range hood

Good design excellent fan, easy to install, best fan I ever used .
The stainless steel model is very high quality and a nice fan.
You will have to buy extra heavy duty screws to hang not included in box! Lights are very nice and bright also.

Very pleased with the Broan Alure II

Just purchased and installed it to replace an older model. Cooked one meal since installing it so these comments are initial findings.
It is well made, fit and finish are excellent. I installed a rear exhaust and because the original exhaust plenum was not in the centre of the space, I had to make a few modifications which involved using tin snips and drilling some holes but the hood's design lends itself to such modification very easily. It is indeed quieter than the unit it replaced at low and medium speed. At full speed it is loud but it moves much more air than the original hood so that is to be expected . I installed two 7 watt LED PAR 16, 35 degree flood lights rather than the recommended 40 watt Hallogens. They do not protrude as much as the Hallogen bulbs and provide an even light over the entire cooking surface. They work at all three light power levels without any flicker. Only time will tell how long they last in that application.
If I encounter any problems I will post again but we are very happy with the hood and the lighting at the moment.

not working out of the box

What a disappointment! After taking the time to install, there is an issue with the lights - they won't turn off. From a quick investigation online it is likely the control board. The fan is working fine. Don't be tempted by the sale price. This unit is not quality

- A: From an installation point of view, there are all standard and a 30” wide hood is a 30” wide hood. Where the challenge occurs from time to time is the thickness of the hood from the base of the cabinet to the base of the hood, lining it up against tile poses a challenge.
