Dupli-Color® 1K Clear is a high-performance clear coat formulated to be used over most any Dupli-Color product to provide improved protection, appearance and performance. Available in extreme gloss, matte, and pearl finishes. This urethane-modified formulation provides a high-quality finish, film hardness, gasoline resistance and UV protection to deliver best-in-class clearcoat results. A big-button spray-any way nozzle ensures a smooth, consistent application.

Don’t waste your money on this product.

I wish I came here to see reviews before buying. I bought colour match paint for new fender flares for my brand new truck. The paint looked pretty good until I went a put this clear coat on and absolutely ruined my project when it yellowed. I had to sand flares and buy all new paint and start over again. Would not recommend at all.

Avoid the whole Paint Shop system

I painted a project with the Paint Shop system (primer, colour and clear), only to find out after the fact that it offers no protection from automotive chemicals, such as gasoline. Seems dumb for a system touted a complete solution. Contacted Duplicolor technical support who advised that any area that might come in contact with gas needs this 1k topcoat. This product sprayed in a combination of fine spray and droplets that will require wet sanding, despite the instructions saying otherwise. Avoid the whole issue and use a different line of products.

Yellow clear coat

Do not buy this product. Turns very yellow as it dries. Ruined my paint work. Stay far far away. This is a nightmare.

Q: why does the clear coat wrinkle after recoating and waiting two days before doing so

Wrinkling can occur on recoat when the previous or current coat are being applied too heavy. Recoating outside of the suggested recoat times can also cause wrinkling.
