After cleaning the surface with degreaser proceeded to smoothie the scratch edges with the abrasive tip included in the pen, dusted it off and applied a very thin layer of paint, waited for 15 minutes to flash then applied a second coat to build up and level with the rest of the body panel. Waited for three hours and wet sanded with 1000 grit, then 1500 grit and finally 2000 grit. Have the whole door a good buff and polish, applied a coat of good quality wax and voila! Almost imperceptible scratch. By no means perfect but very good match and protection from rust.
