My fault for buying one without a detached base, so I'm not really docking points for the attached cord (as annoying as that can be), but after a week, the water started tasting heavily of plastic/vinyl.

took forever to boil 1 L of water even if I put hot in it. In fact, it took just as long to boil when only 1/2 full. I donated it to a 2nd hand shop.
