DeLonghi Stilosa Espresso Maker, 15-Bar Pump, Black

I bought this coffee maker a couple of weeks ago and took me a few times to get the coffee that I wanted. I got it now with practice for the water flow in my cup and the type of coffee to use (ground coffee)

Mes deux premiers cafés avaient un goût chimique ( normal à cause de tuyaux neufs) mais j’y ai remédié en faisant un lavage au vinaigre et tout est rentré dans l’ordre. Depuis, je savoure mon café tous les matins.

Truthfully, I haven't actually used it yet. I need to buy a few things so that I can actually make some lattes, etc. But, I "have" put it together & did a test run. It works great! I can't wait to use the frother!

I bought one got it one and it wouldn’t pump water from the reservoir. Returned it got another one and it didn’t work either. I own one that I have used for several years so it’s not that I don’t know how to use it.

This is DeLonghi's "entry level" priced machine, but it makes great espresso if you have fresh beans and a higher end grinder. (This is the second one that I bought - I gave one to one of my kids after using for years and they are still using it and then purchased one for my cottage and I think it makes great espresso & lattes). It also foams milk well so I use it to make the grandkids special frothy hot chocolates. Why I rated 4 stars - is I have the DeLonghi Dedica model one or two above at my house - so about a $150 more expensive. This one doesn't have the one button press for espresso that automatically shuts off (this machine you have to watch until you have the right amount dispensed and then manually shut off). Also, most average sized coffee cups don't fit under the brew head, where they do on my more expensive model, so you have to use an espresso sized cup. This machine is a little wider than my DeLonghi Dedica, which is only 6" wide so more sleek looking and space saving. And it doesn't have a light notification to tell you when to descale - like the more expensive model does, which I find helpful. So if these minor items are a deal breaker - spend the $150 or so more and get one of the models that does. But if good espresso & affordability is your goal - this is a great little machine that I have found works for years!
