Q: what happens if the scale gets wet How would you compare this scale to Product #42-4076-6

A: The slim scale is not as tough as the Product #42-4076-6. That thing is a tank. It is really a different purpose the slim line has finesse and is quite good with finer weights the other is a rough and tumble tool that is a bit crude. I own both and use both one for the general weights on non critical items and the other for weighing fine items (like spices). I have not got it wet just a splash or two it is glass top so I just wiped it off.

Q: The specifications on the website for this scale are wrong. A 9V Lithium Ion battery is specified, it uses a 3v button cell. The same applies to the Accuweight Kitchen Scale, #142-4303-8 It uses a button cell too, not the 2 AAA

Q: How long should the battery last? When replacing the battery it works for few days then the scale displays "Low "and shuts off. I take the battery out, put it back again and works for few days more.

Q: Where is the on/off button? This question has already been asked but the answer says the round button on the left. On my scale that is the zero button. The only other visible button is on the right and labeled mode.

Q: How do I set the scale to 0 (zero)? When I turn the scale on it automatically is set to 336g (for weight mode). How to I recalibrate this to be 0? It used to work but since we changed the battery we no longer get a 0 reading.
