Product Details

Drive with confidence on any terrain and in any weather with the Goodyear Wrangler SR-A All Season Tire. Designed for trucks and SUVs, this tire features Goodyear’s new WetTrac technology, a unique wet-traction compound that combines with the asymmetric tread to reduce the risk of hydroplaning and provide superior traction on wet roads. On or off the beaten path, the Wrangler SR-A delivers excellent handling and traction with a comfortable and quiet ride.

  • Aggressive tread pattern for excellent on/off-road traction

  • Exclusive wet traction compound for superior traction on wet roads

  • Wide circumferential grooves enhance water flow for improved grip in rain

  • It’s best to take off your winter tires when the outside temperature is consistently at 7 degrees Celsius or higher. This is because the rubber compound in All Season Tires is better suited for warmer temperatures and to provide better grip to the road. The softer compound in Winter Tires is designed for cold weather usage and will wear faster in warmer temperatures.

The tires are good, but Canadian Tire mounted one tire that was manufactured more than four years ago, and sold it as new. Not happy about that.

This tire does great on highway roads even when it rains, and thats about it. on everything else like gravel, mudd, snow & ice this tire is no good. Also tire is rated for 80,000 km and so far i put 47,000 km on the tire and they are already at 5/32 left of tread, so much for the 80,000 km rating. tires were rotated every 6000 km. tires came OEM on my truck and im sure glad they did, now i know NOT to buy these tires EVER!

Questions

Q: Is this tire rated for winter snow conditions?

5 Answers
  • A: As the one answer said, it is Mud AND Snow which is pretty much all season. If it just has the snow flake symbol, it is a winter tire only. Going with all season you sacrifice some in both summer and winter conditions.. For what it's worth, more and more people are choosing to go with summer tires and then switch to winter just before the season starts but there is the storage issue of having to store the off season set. Summer tires are a harder rubber and you'll get longer life out of them while winter tires are slightly softer to give better traction in snow and ice conditions. If you do go with winter tires, be sure and change them out as soon as the season is over as you'll wear them out sooner on bare pavement with the softer rubber. Some provinces are thinking about/have chosen to make winter tires mandatory. For example in B.C. you have to have winter tires on your vehicle or at the very least, the Mud and Snow rating. And I've heard Insurance companies may be weighing in on this as well. Hope that helps.

  • A: I have them on a 2005 Suburban , highway use only, doubt they will make 30,000 kms . Terrible , wearing out very fast. Never buy them again no matter how cheap on sale. Firestone gets 3 times as much miles.

Q: There are two different Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires listed (Product # 007-2001-2 and # 408-3043-2). Could you provide some information about the differences (if any) between these 2 tires? Thanks.

1 Answer
  • A: 007-2001 is a fully discontinued product that we do not stock in stores anymore. 408-3043 is the active, online, special order version of that same product. Unfortunately, we are unable to take down FD products for as long as there is still retail inventory. That means, that if you find inventory of that tire at a specific store, you purchase it. However, if not, you will be required to have the store order 408 3043.
