NOMA Tower Heater, 29-in

Looked good but sadly stopped working after 1 month. I do not recommend this product.

This heater started well but sadly barely lasted a month before malfunctioning - now there’s a smell of plastic burning if I turn it on and it doesn’t feel safe. I’ll be returning it as soon as the stores open again. Not recommended.

I live in an RV and on chilly mornings turn on this heater to be comfortable. Had purchased a Noma oil filled heater which was returned because it was useless if you want quick heat. This heater belts out the heat and with it placed about 2 feet away from me am comfortable within a minute. As it warms up living area am able to move it further away.

I owned this for about a month, and sadly, ended up returning it. It looks nice, oscillates well, and I like the digital readout. The main issue was the level of the sound. It is simply much too loud when it operates. It was used in a bedroom and the level of noise coming from the fans on this was too high. Also, as others here have mentioned - the temperature regulation did not work well. If I set it at 20 C, it would come on around 19, then stay on until it was around 23/24 (which is too hot), at which time it would shut off. Another problem is that it would take forever to come back on again. It would turn on again, the next time, when it "thought" the temperature was 18/19. The issue is that the real temperature in the room was already much colder by this time. I think they need to tweak the thermostat (or the computer logic) to make this work properly - as the unit makes it too hot (before it shuts off), and the room is wayyy too cold before it comes on again. Maybe it needs to have a small fan inside it, to constantly circulate ambient room air through to the thermostat so it can get a more true reading of the actual air temperature. Who knows. My search continues for a (quiet) heater that has a working thermostat/logic.

Not thrilled with this purchased, I'll be frank. I've been using this for over 4 months, for reference. I like that they integrated a feature that allows the heater to turn off when it reaches a certain temperature. Unfortunately, this feature does not work very well. It frequently will continue to run after it has passed the threshold (ex. set the temp. at 20 degrees, but it doesn't shut off until it hits 22 or 23). Once it has shut off, it takes a long time for the temperature to register properly, so it can be awhile before it turns back on again. So I get both extremes while using this-- too hot and too cold. I would recommend purchasing a different model.
