stopped working

I've owned it for several years and didn't run it this winter. Started it again in spring and no moisture is being removed. After an hour, the error code E9 appears. I followed all recommendations to fix but no change. Basement is humid and temperate so it's not the environment. Won't buy Noma again.

I bought this in mid-2020 and kept it in my basement and had it running almost 24/7 with near daily bucket drains. I bought it on sale for around 200 bucks I believe and for that much money, it worked well for as long as it did. A few weeks ago I noticed the icing up issue and of course the warranty has already expired. It's worth it to spend more on something that last longer, but I won't give it 1 star since it did last me nearly 2 years under daily use.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Bought this in June 2019, quit working October 2020, you would think for close to $300 I would be getting something that would be built to last, alas no such luck, i am not getting the ice buildups mentioned in other reviews but I am getting a E9 error code which seems to be a common trend, unplugging and starting it back up eliminates the error code briefly, but after an hour of doing this, it has returned everytime, do not waste your money with this piece of junk

A: This should be stated clearly on the packaging AND on the webpage. It's not even stated on the unit itself. The rating can only be found in the owner's manual. I am disappointed in NOMA's decision to hide this information, would have saved staff at CTC#139 much time and frustration. The same applies to the larger 70 pint unit... nothing stated on the outside of the box except Voltage and Single Phase (the latter being completely needless information).

Q: Does this unit have some form of frostguard so that unit turns off the compressor but leaves the fan on if the evaporator ices over, and then turn the compressor back on once the evaporator is thawed?

A: Yes, it has auto defrost system.Compressor will turn off but the fan will keep on. After defrost procedure, compressor will back on.
