Great in theory but doesn't work well in reality.

The vertical design is a great idea but not functional in real life. Even when using the measuring cup included there is always too much or too little batter. The waffle is not cooked evenly since the batter is not in contact with the griddle surface at the same time, starts cooking from the bottom first. You can't add things like blueberries or chocolate chips to the batter because it cannot fall through the opening throughout the waffle. I have used it three times thinking I would get ised to it but I just don't like it. The nonstick is good. I would not buy this again and would return it if I still had the box.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Takes some getting used to

The recipe included in the literature is NOT a winner. After a bit of research, I was able to come up with something that actually worked.
So far I've burned myself 4 times on the housing. Other than that, the appliance seems like it will be okay once I get used to it. As promised, nothing sticks to the plates. That's a plus.

great waffle maker

got as a gift and really not sure how easy it would be in terms of mess and cleaning.....proved me wrong...so easy to use...absolutely no spill over like lay down waffle makers....just wipe clean....narrow profile for easy storage in cabinet...cooks fast and perfectly cooked everytime
