    Looks great but will cost you!

    This license plate frame make your vehicle stand out from all the others on the road and is very bright. It doubles as a back up light. In fact it is so bright that it gets the attention of the local law enforcement. I had one on my car less than a week when I was pulled over for an obstructed license plate, I was handed a $40 fine and was requested to remove it on the spot. Make sure you read the package and look for the words "for off road use only" this is your clue that it will probably get you a ticket down the road.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    A really inexpensive way to spiff up your automobile. Easy to install and looks really cool. The only difficulty that I had with this unit was finding it in the store as it is not on the shelves with the rest of the license plate holders. I had to find a sales associate (which took about 30 minutes in my local store) in order to be able to purchase one. I find it really amusing that these things are under lock and key in a cabinet, whereas items costing in the hundreds of dollars are freely accessible on the shelves. I guess because they are so popular with the younger 'five finger discount set' that they must be locked up. However, if that is the only impediment to accessorizing your vehicle with this neon license plate holder, I say go for it!

    Q: Is it legal in Ontario to have this type of licence plate?

    • A: Coloured plate covers have different regulations across the country; We believe that they are not legal for street usein most provinces. Neon on cars is not legal for street use, so we have switches that are used to turn it off when on the road. These products all carry the disclaimer on/or in the packaging that they are intended for off-road use (this would include shows, races, etc.) therefore it is not illegal for Cadian Tire to sell these items..

    Q: Will it fit on imports? (Japanese/Europian)

    • A: Yes, this should fit imports designed for the North American market (so ones you would buy here, if they were intended to be sold elsewhere and were imported here, it may not work.) If your car has a "standard" North American license place, this should be able to mount to it... So yes it will fit.
